COVID-19 - Event Updates

Enlist For More Information

Update February 17, 2021

A year ago at this time if you would have told us we wouldn't have dates announced for the 2021 Season yet, we most likely would have looked at you like you were a few bricks short of a load. But here we are Alberta, and the uncertainties don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. #thanksCOVID

While we have watched other companies release dates in hopes of things coming around, this is game we don't want to get into. As a locally owned race company, we take our relationships with you, our race community, sponsors, and stakeholders very seriously. Without your support we simply would not exist. You can bet that when we start to announce new live event dates, they will not only be 100% a go, but will be back bigger and better than ever before. At this point, we do not have any indication from AHS as to when this may be.

With this being said, we do realize that carrying deferral credits for future " yet to be determined" event dates isn't all that fun either. We get it.

New Option - Effective February 18, 2021

We are now going to be holding 25% of our 2021 Virtual event inventory for anyone that wants to redeem a deferral credit that they may be sitting on. While it won't be a completely streamlined process and we may not be able to look after everyone for every event, we promise to do our best in looking after as many requests as we can. (Please be patient with us as we are down to one person in the office these days. :))

How does this work?

As we announce 2021 Virtual events, we will take deferral credit transfer requests on each until we hit the 25% deferral capacity cap.

If you are interested in redeeming an event credit please email us at info@xwarriorchallenge.com.

Information we will need is as follows:

  • your name
  • the event you registered for as well as the registration type you are holding.
  • the new virtual event you are hoping to use the credit for

We will get back to you and let you know what sort of credit(s) we can apply for the chosen events based on the registration type that you hold. This is going to be a manual process as Race Roster is not set up for this sort of boutique approach. Please bear with us. :)

What if I want to keep my deferral credit and use for the rescheduled event date?

Great! No further action is needed on your part. Your credit is safe with us and will be automatically applied to the new event date.

Which virtual events are now taking deferral credit transfer requests?

  • St Patrick's Day X Run
  • Winter X Trail Enduro
  • More TBA...

What if I already registered for the above virtual events? Can I apply an existing credit get a refund?

Unfortunately not. But you will be able to request a deferral credit whenever registration opens for new/future events.

Why are you only holding 25% of virtual event capacity for deferral transfers?

Great question. In full transparency, without the large scale large event calendar, we don't have the same sponsor support, our swag costs have doubled (due to much smaller volumes) and our capacity to manage anything above that number isn't there right now. Our hopes are we can look after as many people as possible in a timely fashion while we await the green light to get back to doing what we love.

2021 Deferral Credit Update
FAQ - Event Postponements
‍When will new date(s) be announced? As you can imagine with the uncertainty of things, we are aren’t able to give any ideas as of yet but. We can ensure you that we are currently working with venues, stakeholders, sponsors as well as other large race organizations in the area to ensure that the rescheduled dates work best. How will my deferral credit work? Once we are able to set a date for the event we are rescheduling, you will AUTOMATICALLY be entered into the event. If you cannot make that date, we will then offer a credit value in the amount that was paid. This credit can be used for a similar event anytime in 2020, 2021 or 2022.
